Need Saturday off take the Front End Sunday 9am-11pm, Monday- Wednesday 3pm-11pm.

Need Sunday off take the back end Thursday and Friday 3pm-11pm, Saturday 9am-11pm.

Need an overnight we have those too. 11pm-9am. Per diem we've got you covered too.

Our shifts are:

  • 30 hours
  • 38 hours
  • 40 hours

$19.25- $21.75 * Must be med certified and driver eligible within the first 90 days to keep $19.25 rate

Increases based on:

  • Experience-$0.25- $1.00
  • Education- $0.50- $1.50

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for ensuring that services are provided within the standards established by the department and the agency. They must understand commitment to, and respect for people being served, their family members and the agency's mission. They are responsible to ensure that the services provided are geared to promote personal growth, skill acquisition, and community inclusion. These services must be meaningful to the people served and encourage and respect their choices. Hours are variable based on the needs of the person receiving services; some overtime and shift coverage is necessary.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the health, safety and well-being of people in the program
  • Completing Residential Habilitation documentation in a timely fashion and ensuring implementation of staff service actions.
  • Providing nutritious, balanced meals based on the house menu. Encouraging and assisting individuals to participate in shopping and food preparation
  • Completing daily routines with regard to chores, housekeeping, maintenance of ADL kits, and active treatment. Alerting Residence Manager when more ADL or program supplies are needed.
  • Implementing community integration and involvement based on the Residential Habilitation (Res Hab) plans of each individual.
  • Ensuring that the residence is maintained with a high level of cleanliness and respect for the people that reside there.
  • Addressing all crisis situations, and medical emergencies in accordance with agency policy.
  • Upon completion of the medication administration course, maintaining Med Certification and dispensing medications as assigned.
  • Assisting with personal care and health-related needs. Complying with the guidance provided by the Supervisor, Residence Manager and the Nursing Department.
  • Assisting with maintenance of residence files and inventories as needed.
  • Implementing all Behavioral Management progress and required.
  • Representing the agency in a positive manner to other staff, agencies, the community, service providers, and on the internet including email and social media sites.
  • Complying with and implementing practices in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Providing transportation to and assisting at medical appointments and lab work. Providing transportation to and from activities which are person centered including church, home visits, individual and group outings.
  • Performing any other work-related duties as requested by supervisor(s) and/or Executive Director or their designee.

Requirements:

  • Required- High School Diploma or GED
  • Acceptable driver's license based on insurance company regulations.
  • Pass NYS and OPWDD background clearances.
  • Attend In Flight orientation located in Red Hook.
